After nearly eight years with Food Darzee, its co-founder and public face, Dr. Siddhant Bhargava, has announced his exit from the healthy meal subscription startup to fully focus on building a new venture in the mental wellness space—InnerGize.
The transition marks a significant shift from nutrition to holistic mental health, underpinned by Bhargava’s own experiences and a growing national need for stress management tools.
A New Chapter: InnerGize
In a personal LinkedIn post, Dr. Bhargava explained the decision:
“Leaving Food Darzee wasn’t easy, but I needed space to reflect and redefine what truly mattered.”
InnerGize is positioned as a tech-enabled mental wellness platform aimed at helping people manage stress using wearable technology. With $1 million already raised in funding, the startup’s first product—a smart wearable—is under development.
The mission is bold yet grounded:
“To impact a billion lives by helping people manage stress and live better lives.”
Why Mental Wellness, Why Now?
Citing data that 74% of Indians report high stress levels, Bhargava noted that chronic stress is linked to over 60% of long-term illnesses in the country. This insight, combined with his background in science and nutrition, shaped the InnerGize concept.
The wearable device being developed will track physiological stress indicators and provide actionable insights—focusing on prevention, awareness, and real-time intervention.
Personal Resilience Behind the Brand
Dr. Bhargava’s entrepreneurial grit is rooted in resilience. Diagnosed with Lupus at age 20 and Stage 2 Thyroid Cancer just four years later, he’s battled severe health challenges while continuing to build brands that promote better living.
These experiences have added both credibility and urgency to his mission of transforming how India tackles wellness.
Legacy at Food Darzee
Founded in 2017, Food Darzee grew to become a category-defining healthy meal subscription startup, known for personalized, macro-tracked meals catering to fitness-focused individuals. Bhargava was instrumental in shaping its brand, operations, and nutritional strategy.
As he departs, Food Darzee continues under the leadership of the remaining co-founders and core team.
What’s Next?
With InnerGize, Dr. Bhargava enters one of the most promising sectors in Indian healthtech. As mental wellness takes center stage post-pandemic, the startup’s early traction and mission-driven approach may position it as a pioneering force in stress tech and preventive care.
